Every Effort Counts, Every Achievement Shines Tammy Quinn / 17 July 2025 / Categories: General This year at Marsden Heights, the PE department hosted a PE Sports Awards to celebrate the incredible spirit of sport across our entire community. Addressing all the students invited to attend, they said: "A huge thank you to all of you for your incredible hard work, dedication, and commitment to sport this year – whether you were taking part, leading, or supporting others, you've been amazing and made a real difference!” Over 150 students received Sports Participation certificates for their efforts, with special awards presented to: Year 7 Team of the Year – Y7 Cricket Team Athlete of the Year – Qasam R Leader of the Year – Rejoice O Performance of the Year – Rehan N Year 8 Team of the Year – MHCC Rowing Team Athlete of the Year – Aisha A Leader of the Year – Gabriel KB Performance of the Year – Ahad A Year 9 Team of the Year – U14 Badminton team Athlete of the Year – Subhan B Leader of the Year – Wahhab R Performance of the Year – Muhammad A Year 10 Team of the Year – Y10 Cricket Team Athlete of the Year – Hassan S Leader of the Year – Innayah H Performance of the Year – Sohail This year’s MHCC Sports Personality of the Year Award was presented to a student who gives 100% in every PE lesson, attends practices, represents the school with pride, competes outside of school, and consistently shows outstanding sportsmanship alongside a competitive spirit. A huge well done to: Subhan – Yr 9 Thank you and well done to all students for your hard work, dedication, and passion throughout the year. Every student should be proud of everything they have achieved so far, because this is just the beginning. Remember, future success is built on the habits you continue beyond school.
