Our team is committed to nurturing new teachers who are passionate about working in diverse, community-focused settings. We offer both salaried and fee-paying routes into teaching, and we understand that the best teachers do not always follow the same path.
In our school, salaried places are highly competitive and offer up to 5% above the national pay scale. The fee-paying route includes bursaries and student loan options depending on your subject.
As part of the course, you will also have the option to gain a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with 60 master’s-level credits, awarded by our Bath Spa university partner. This academic element includes two master’s assignments, with full support to help you succeed.
Training is every Friday. There are 10 face-to-face sessions at Marsden Heights; the rest of the time is delivered through a blend of online input and school-based learning.
As part of the course, you are provided with expert guidance and support from mentors who understand what it takes to thrive in the classroom. You meet them every week to receive support and feedback.
