Thank you for your interest in Marsden Heights Community College. We are so proud to be a community school and we aim to ensure that every pupil makes good or outstanding progress. This section of our website is designed for parents who are considering this academy for their children, as well as parents whose children are due to start in the next academic year.
If you wish to apply for a place at Marsden Heights during the school year, then please visit our reception and ask for Miss Kelsi Smith where she will provide you an application form and explain the process, alternatively you can download the form below and email it to ksmith@marsdenheights.co.uk who will organise the admission request going to the Admissions Committee.

If the school is unable to offer your child a place then you will receive written notification to inform you that a place has been refused.
If you have been refused a place then you may wish to appeal, please ring College on 01282 683060 and ask for Miss Kelsi Smith and she will provide you with an appeal form. Alternatively, you can download the form below and email it to ksmith@marsdenheights.co.uk.

The arrangements for pupils transferring to secondary schools in September 2025, will conform to the following timetable:

For those who were unsuccessful in securing a place at Marsden Heights, then the appeals process can be followed:
Appeals submitted prior to the deadline of 9 May 2025 will be heard during the week of 9 - 13 June 2025.
Appeals for Marsden Heights Community College will be heard in two stages by our independent appeals board, Clerks Associates.
All appeals paperwork will be sent out via our independent appeals board directly to the families by Clerks Associates.
Appellants will be sent a copy of the school's case at least five clear working days in advance of the hearing.

Appeals lodged after these dates will be heard within 40 days of the appeal deadline or 30 school days of being lodged, whichever is the later date. Appellants will be sent notification of their appeal hearing at least five clear school days in advance of the hearing.
