Thank you for visiting our website. It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself as the Principal of Marsden Heights Community College. It is a privilege to have been appointed as Principal and entrusted with the opportunity to lead such a fabulous group of pupils and staff. Working together, I know that this is a school that will thrive. My focus is on making sure that every pupil reaches their full potential every day.
Having joined Marsden Heights as Principal in 2025, the aim is to become an outstanding community college where all learners are able to reach their potential personally, socially and academically. It is a privilege to work daily with such exceptional young people, their families and the local community. As a United Learning Academy, we seek to improve the life chances of all the children and people we serve and make it our mission to bring out ‘The Best in Everyone’.
This is a college where you instantly feel the warmth from students, staff, governors and parents. As a learning community, we work tirelessly to ensure that all our children grow and develop into lifelong learners who can face the demands of the future with confidence and with great memories of their time at Marsden Heights. Affording pupils a wealth of opportunities will help them to grow into well rounded, confident and happy individuals ready to take their next steps into the world.
The college’s focus on learning is the driving force behind everything that we do, and pupils are offered a diverse and challenging curriculum, based on the acquisition of ‘Powerful Knowledge’, from which they will emerge better equipped to pursue University and exciting future career choices. We are committed to ensuring that high quality teaching and learning will continue to raise standards at Marsden Heights. We have high expectations and aspirations for our pupils. We make no apologies for being very demanding of our pupils and our staff, as only the best will do for our children.
As we know, success is the result of excellence, hard work, learning from failure and persistence – all of these are in evidence every day at Marsden Heights and these qualities are what will make us truly great as a college. We work daily to our mantra of ‘Hard work, Trust and Fairness’. Our pupils demonstrate these qualities every day.
