There was a great sense of achievement as students learned of the results of their hard work and resilience during their time at Marsden Heights. Congratulations to all our students on their results. We spoke to some of our highest achievers on the secret to their success: Hassan Hassan achieved an incredible set of results including grade 9s in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, and a grade 8 in English Language. Speaking to Mr Delve, he said: “The secret to my success was hard work. Where I have put in the effort, is where I have got the grades! I’m feeling amazing.” Hassan will embark in A Levels in Maths, Biology and Chemistry at Nelson and Colne College, with his sights set on a career in medicine. Sahar Sahar celebrated fantastic results including grade 9s in English Literature and English Language, and grade 8s in Geography and Art & Design. Reflecting on her success, she said: “I’m relieved, glad it’s all done and happy with my results. The secret to my success was, first of all, having really good teachers – I was really glad for them. I used revision guides at home and came to after school and Saturday sessions too. The main thing was teaching others, that really helped me to remember information.” Sahar will begin A Levels in English Literature, Graphic Design and Sociology a Nelson and Colne College, with aspirations of teaching in the future. Umera Umera was thrilled with her grades, which included a grade 8 in English Language, and grade 7s in English Literature, RE, History and Sociology.
