Creating Connections Tammy Quinn / 25 November 2025 / Categories: General We were delighted to welcome a group of Palestinian visitors, through the Pendle Palestine Twinning Group, to our school for a day of learning, sharing, and friendship. The visit was organised in partnership with Positive Voices, who gave an inspiring presentation about their work and explained how they will be selecting the next group of young people to join their programme. Our young guests were warmly greeted by Principal Mr. Delve, students and staff before embarking on a tour of the school. They visited lessons, met more members of our school community, and experienced the vibrant atmosphere of our school. The day also included a friendly game of football, plenty of conversation, and a shared lunch that brought everyone together. In the evening, the celebrations continued at Unity Hall in Nelson, where the Pendle Palestine Twinning Group and Positive Voices hosted a community gathering. Over 100 people attended this wonderful event, enjoying an evening filled with music, delicious food, and the traditional Palestinian dabka dance performed by our visitors. It was a true celebration of culture, unity, and friendship. We are proud to be part of such meaningful exchanges that build bridges between communities. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so special! Previous Article Marsden Heights Alumni: Aqil Javed Next Article MHCC Shines in Cross Country
