You’re Hired! Tammy Quinn / 25 February 2025 / Categories: General Marsden Heights' very own 'Lord Sugar' welcomed pupils aspiring to be an Apprentice for a day, in celebration of National Apprenticeship Week. Pupils in Year 7, 8 and 9 were invited to apply for a variety of apprentice roles, offering them a chance to work alongside staff for a day. We had our highest number of applications to date - an incredible 145 were submitted by pupils! Careers Lead Mrs Ross and Principal Mr Delve announcing the names of the twenty successful pupils. Mr Delve praised the apprentices: “You all wrote something in your apprentice application that made you stand out – we’re really proud of you.” On 11th February, staff were joined by apprentices across different departments, including Careers, the Library, ICT, Youthwork, Pupil Support, a PA to Principal, and more. The day was a resounding success with pupils shadowing staff, experiencing the world of work and enhancing their employability skills. The pupils made the most of the opportunity and thoroughly enjoyed their day.
