Year 7 Shine at the Indoor Athletics

It was a fantastic night at the annual Year 7 Pendle Indoor Athletics Competition at Pendle Vale High School. Marsden Heights students were outstanding and dominated across multiple events; it was a performance to be incredibly proud of.

Our brilliant team was made up of the following Year 7 students:
Abiha, Tina, Zoya, Zahra, Heba, Sanam, Hamza, Kobe, Mohammad AS, Muhammed Q, and Abdullah.

There were some excellent individual and team performances on the night:
• Kobe won the Javelin
• Hamza won the Vertical Jump
• Mohammad Amin won the Speed Bounce
• Mohammad Amin and Hamza won the 4-lap Paarlauf
• The boys’ relay team finished an excellent 2nd place
• Abiha and Zahra were outstanding performers for the girls throughout the competition

We now eagerly await the final overall results, hoping that this performance secures us the overall win and the opportunity to represent Pendle at the Lancashire Schools Indoor Athletics Competition in Blackpool.

Huge congratulations to all involved; the effort, attitude and teamwork were excellent throughout.

It is Year 8’s turn to compete in the Indoor Athletics next!
