The Start of a 5-Year Journey With Us! Tammy Quinn / 07 July 2026 / Categories: General We were delighted to welcome our new Year 6 pupils and their families for Transition events, as they begin their exciting five-year journey with us! Our two Transition Days provided a fantastic opportunity for students to explore the school, experience new lessons, meet our dedicated staff, and start making new friends ahead of September. Throughout the day, pupils enjoyed a range of fun taster lessons designed to inspire curiosity and confidence. In English, they took part in a listening and literacy challenge, while in Maths they put their problem-solving skills to the test by decoding jokes using factors, multiples and prime numbers. In Art, pupils explored the meaning of our school values and designed a shield to depict these. Alongside learning more about life at secondary school and the wide range of opportunities available, they were invited to share work they were most proud of on our Proud Table, where achievements were celebrated through rewards and recognition. Families also joined us for our Transition Information Evening, where they had the opportunity to meet teachers and key members of staff, hear important information about the transition process, and learn how they can support their child as they begin this exciting new chapter. Our Pastoral Team was on hand throughout the evening to answer questions and help ensure every family feels informed and supported. Principal Mr Delve said: "We would like to thank all the Year 6 pupils and their families who attended our Transition events. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in September and sharing an amazing start to your secondary school journey!" Previous Article The Crystal Maze Challenge
