The experience was designed to build confidence, broaden career aspirations and provide an exciting first glimpse into higher education and the professional world. Led by a Talent Foundry facilitator, students participated in an interactive workshop that focused on social issues and the concept of social enterprise. Working collaboratively, students developed teamwork, problem-solving and critical thinking skills as they designed a product or solution to address a global or social issue. Each group member took a role in project management, sales, marketing and advertising. They then presented their ideas as a team, showcasing creativity, confidence and thoughtful consideration of real-world challenges. Well done to Noorulayn, Itrat, Iman and Aminah who won a prize for their food composting business, which could be scaled-up to help people grow more crops and reduce waste reaching landfill. They delivered a thorough pitch and each member of the team successfully fulfilled their key role. The day also included a guided university campus tour with ambassadors, giving students valuable insight into university life and future pathways. Recent graduates joined the session for a Q&A, sharing relatable experiences of university and their diverse career journeys. The workshop was a motivating and memorable opportunity that helped students begin to imagine their future roles in creating positive change. Previous Article Tech Challenge Day
