Project Ripple Effect Tammy Quinn / 23 April 2025 / Categories: General Marsden Heights pupils are working with Project Ripple Effect, a part of the Rivers and Canals Trust. The project is bringing creativity and connection to the canal stretch between Burnley and Nelson. From vibrant art-based workshops to food growing, canoeing, and cycling, the project is turning our local waterway into a hub of activity and inspiration! Project lead, Ian, has been working alongside the Year 7 and 9 committees, as well as Positive Voices group, and encouraging pupils to dive into printmaking using water-based materials — creating stunning pieces inspired by the beauty of our canal. It’s all about hands-on creativity, exploring new skills, and deepening our connection with nature. Stay tuned as the ripple spreads!
