A Day of Discovery Tammy Quinn / 08 June 2026 / Categories: General Year 7 students recently set off on an exciting adventure to Eureka! The Science and Discovery Centre in Wallasey, enjoying a day filled with curiosity, courage, and discovery. Students were immersed in a world of interactive learning. They uncovered fascinating facts about the human body, exploring how their senses work through hands-on exhibits. There was plenty of enthusiasm as students eagerly tested and experienced each activity for themselves. For many, one of the most thrilling moments of the day was taking on the legendary Door of Fear. Only the bravest dared to step forward and face the challenge! After lunch, the excitement continued with a fantastic Robotics Show, where students were introduced to the incredible Barkimedies. The show brought science to life as students learned about the important differences between machines and robots, and what makes a robot truly function and respond. Dr Clementson, Teacher of Science, said: “The day was full of exciting, hands-on exhibits, and everyone loved getting stuck in and trying them out. The highlight of the day? Watching Barkimedies show off his amazing dance moves – it definitely got everyone smiling and cheering!” The visit was a wonderful success, leaving students inspired and full of enthusiasm for science.
