College Uniform

Traditionally, we have only ever had logos on our PE tops, our blazer and obviously a school tie that are required to be bought from a uniform shop. That remains the case in 2023 - 2024. All other items can be purchased from supermarkets or other providers as long as they are official school uniform shirts, trousers and skirts. Any parents who find themselves in difficulties with uniform are always helped by school. Black Blazer	School Brand Logo on the left chest.
School Tie	Fastened up to the collar with 5 stripes showing.
Black Trousers	Plain with tailored fit. No jeans, leggings or jeggings. Fashion belts are not allowed.
Black Skirt	Plain and worn with either opaque black tights (minimum 80 denier) or plain socks. Plain black leg covering (shalwar) may be worn under the skirt.
White Shirt	Long or short sleeve, plain, formal school shirt with collar, which must be tucked in.
Black Shoes	Plain, flat, formal shoes worn with plain black or grey socks. No boots, dolly shoes or trainers.
Black Hijab (headscarf)	Plain, fastened with appropriate safety pins, worn in addition to school tie.
Bag	Sensible school bag to fit A4 books and folders.
Outdoor clothing	Plain, dark coloured coat. Scarf, hat and gloves are recommended for outdoor use and can be any dark colour.

Make-up, nail polish and artificial nails are NOT allowed
Hairstyle should be sensible and natural colour with no lines shaved in hair or eyebrows.
No jewellery or piercings are allowed. The only jewellery allowed is a watch - not a smartwatch
No chewing gum
Mobile phones and associated equipment must not be used during college hours.

MHCC PE leggings or plain black tracksuit pants
Black socks
Black socks with three gold rings and shin pads are only needed for football teams and Marsden Heights will provide those.

PLEASE NOTE CURRENTLY PUPILS WEAR THEIR PE KIT AND BLAZER ON THE DAY OF THEIR PE LESSON.

Preloved Uniform

At Marsden Heights Community College we take preloved uniform which we distribute to pupils when needed. We have a selection of shirts, pants and blazers. MIss Khan our Family Liason Officer can also support with uniform vouchers for families in need.
